food & beverages
The SFA campus will be the place to be for food lovers in the Highlands come Saturday. We’ll have dogs, we’ll have premium and craft beers on tap, soft drinks, and delectable offerings from some of Louisville’s top vendors — here’s a preview!
Guff’s Dogs
What would a street party be without great hot dogs and brats? Guff’s Dogs will be on-hand selling Louisville’s finest encased meats complete with all the fixin’s.
Inca Gold
Empanadas — flaky, buttery hand pies filled with meats, spices, and vegetables — are a specialty of Inca Gold, but you’ll also want save room for the grilled meat skewers. With so much great authentic Peruvian food around, you simply cannot miss! (And cross your fingers: if we’re lucky there may be fresh-fried doughnuts too).
Fresh Air
by A& A
Did someone say “Laotian food”? If you’re wondering what the block-long lines at the Douglas Loop Farmer’s Market are all about each Saturday — now’s your chance to find out! These fried rice dishes, salad rolls, pad Thai’s, snacks and sweets are to die for!
Coco’s Pour Decisions
And last but not least is Coco’s Pour Decisions, because what could be better on a lovely June afternoon than hand made, non-alcoholic juice drinks and smoothies? All will be made on-site using the freshest ingredients and no small measure of creativity!
Live & recorded music
You didn’t think we were going to forget the entertainment, did you? From opening at 3:00 until closing, our courtyard stage will feature a mix of live and recorded music. There’ll be rock, there’ll be pop, there’ll be bluegrass, there’ll be country. No music fan will walk away disappointed!
5:30 - 7:00 Small Time Napoleon
Small Time Napoleon's band members Dan Hardin and Jeff Thomas will be playing as a duo. The full band has been featured on The World Cafe as apart of David Dye’s “Sense of Place” series and was listed as one of Louisville’s 5 Best Local Acts, had the opportunity to play alongside The Wood Brothers twice, played large festival style shows, including 91.9 WFPK’s Waterfront Wednesday, and currently hold the record for most pre-sale tickets for a local show at The Clifton Center.
7:30 - 9:00 The Hall Brothers Bluegrass Band.
The Hall Brothers Bluegrass Band performs a mix of bluegrass standards, modern bluegrass, classic rock, originals, and classic country. The band is led by identical twin brothers, Zack and Adam. They are veteran touring/session musicians and have performed and/or recorded with Billy Ray Cyrus, Lupe Fiasco, Joe Perry (Aerosmith), Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath), and Bryan Adams. They've opened for Alan Jackson, Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Travis Tritt, Ted Nugent and REO Speedwagon.
